Spring Cleaning For Your Manufactured Home Part 3

As the mercury steadily climbs and the days bask in the warmth of the sun, it's that time of the year when we eagerly anticipate the joys of spring and summer. At Jaco Mobile Home Sales, we recognize the significance of ensuring that your manufactured home is not only comfortable but also in optimal condition after enduring the rigors of a cold winter.

While routine inspections are essential to prepare your home for the changing seasons, it's vital to consider every aspect of your manufactured home's well-being. Beyond the foundational checks, we emphasize the importance of inspecting the roof and exterior for any potential winter-induced damage. Ensuring that your home's protective shell remains intact is key to safeguarding its longevity and your peace of mind.

Furthermore, don't overlook the entry points into your home. Windows, doors, and other access points should be scrutinized to ensure they remain secure, weather-tight, and functional as warmer days approach. Properly addressing these elements not only enhances your home's efficiency but also contributes to its overall aesthetic appeal.

At Jaco Mobile Home Sales, we don't just offer inspections and maintenance; we provide a comprehensive approach to elevate the quality and value of your manufactured home. Consider this season an excellent opportunity not only for revitalizing your living space but also for exploring the potential of selling or upgrading your current manufactured home. With the real estate market typically flourishing alongside the changing seasons, our expertise can guide you in presenting your home to potential buyers. Whether it's interior renovations, exterior improvements, or landscaping enhancements, we're here to help you maximize your home's allure and market potential.

As the warmth of spring and summer beckons, entrust Jaco Mobile Home Sales to support you in all aspects of your manufactured home journey. From structural assessments to market insights, we are your dedicated partners in making your home shine. Your home is our priority, and we are here to make it a haven of comfort and style.

Inspect The Roof
There are many things that can happen to your roof during the winter. while you can spot somethings from the ground, it's better if you climb a ladder and inspect every where on your roof. The first thing to be done is clear off any debris, snow or water. Then inspect the shingles to make sure none are missing or damaged. If you have a metal roof, make sure that the coating is still in good condition.

Take some time to identify anything that may be future problems for you roof. Trees and limbs may need to be trimmed or cut back. Inspect the gutters and make sure they are clean. Also, reattach any gutters that may have come loose during the winter.

Windows And Doors
Some people do not think to check their windows and doors, but you should. Drastic temperature changes can cause some movement of your manufactured home. This can cause stress to your windows and doors. Your window sills and door frames are under constant stress and need to checked periodically.

Windows and doors are common places for drafts in your home. You want your home to be as energy efficient as possible, so inspecting your entry points are a must. You may need professional help in doing this, so contact your power company to see what inspection services they offer.

Lawn Work
The winter can also reek damage on your lawn. Don't wait for the green to return to your grass to start getting your yard back to normal after winter. Inspect any irrigation system you may have for your yard, especially exterior taps and sprinklers. Clean any debris or fallen branches that may have accumulated. Earlier spring is a good time to trim any foliage. You should also reapply weed killer and fertilizer to jump start your grass. Check any footpaths to and from your home to make sure any snow and water hasn't damaged it.

Inside Too
Lastly, the inside of your home needs a good cleaning as well. You know what to do—sweeping dusting, vacuuming and mopping. Give the bathrooms and kitchen a good scrubbing too, including your appliances like your oven, microwave and dishwasher. Make sure all appliances are working properly. It's also a good time to move the couch and clean that floor and wall that doesn't see the light of day most of the year.

The Takeaway
Winter can be a damaging season for your home. You have to make sure it's ready for the warmer months ahead. If you are thinking about buying a new manufactured home, we want to help you.
